Stanwell Park to Thirroul

Royal National Park literally leads you onto one of the most spectacular lookouts on the drive, Bald Hill.

Spend some time soaking up the atmosphere before heading down the cliff hugging roads hanging above the ocean. With the 665 metre Sea Cliff Bridge a highlight, enjoy the amazing driving scenery, quaint coastal villages and uninterrupted views of the ocean as you head south towards the township of Thirroul.

Be adventurous and go on a tandem hang glide or para glide at Bald Hill, where early flight pioneer Lawrence Hargrave first took flight.
Visit the Hindu Temple at Helensburgh or go horse riding nearby at Otford.
Visit animals from Australia and around the world at Symbio Wildlife Park.
Take a Harley Davidson or Ferrari joyride along Sea Cliff Bridge and Grand Pacific Drive.
Visit Articles Fine Art Gallery, with the famous Australian artist, John Vander in residence.
Walk the bridge! Park the car at the southern end and stroll along the pedestrian path along the Sea Cliff Bridge. Keep an eye out for whales during migrating season (May-Nov).
Experience beach camping at Coledale or try a surf lesson!
Enjoy the countless beaches, rock pools and fishing spots.
Tantalize your tastebuds at Chedo’s Café/Restaurant or savour a homemade gelato at Austi Beach Café.
Take a detour up Moore Street, Austinmer and visit the boutique shops, then relax with a great coffee.
Savour uninterrupted views of the ocean whilst enjoying a cool drink at the local pubs.

Note - Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) have started short term repairs on Lawrence Hargrave Drive, just north of the Sea Cliff Bridge. Lawrence Hargrave Drive will be reduced to one lane near the work site during work hours; 7am until 6pm, Monday to Friday until mid December 2012, weather permitting.
