The Grand Pacific Drive is an initiative focused on the marketing and development of a 140 kilometre scenic coastal drive.

The Grand Pacific Drive brand was developed to capitalise on the re-launch of the Illawarra region's major touring route in 2005. The construction of the $49 million Sea Cliff Bridge on the spectacular natural coastline to the north of Wollongong was the catalyst for a drive tourism strategy providing links to the neighbouring regional centres.

The Grand Pacific Drive route encompasses some of the most stunning scenic coastline in New South Wales. From the Royal National Park (the world's second oldest National Park) to Wollongong, the route takes you through coastal rainforests, spectacular drive scenery, charming coastal villages and into the bustling coastal city of Wollongong.

Wollongong is only 90 minutes south of Sydney and from there, the drive experience takes you beyond to the coastal townships of Shellharbour, Kiama, the Shoalhaven and up to Southern Highlands. If you desire to travel further south you can continue through Eurobodalla and the Sapphire Coast before reaching the Victorian boarder. Alternatively, you can make your way inland to Canberra in Australia's Capital Territory.
